Dear diary....

My heart's not in it right now... not in anything.

I realise I'm a little 'down'. It's not a good time at the moment. Thankfully the sun is shining and there is real warmth to cheer me up.

I'm going to have a moan, putting it in black and white is cathartic, so here goes.

Work. It's lacking methods and processes. The ones I had in my old workshop were great and worked well, now there's no rhythm, no flow. Its a fine little workshop and once things settle I'm sure I'll get organised again.

The grinder motor is on it's last legs and sounds like a bag of spanners in a washing machine! It was crazy noisy, I thought it was going to explode this morning.
There's a new motor on the way.

I've made a couple of enquires into a new 'shop window' for the resole, and I have had two really kind offers from friends with bars.... I could drown my sorrows in red wine while I wait for shoes..... Something tells me that's not the best idea lol. I think it can wait for now and I'll run it in slow time with direct contact only while I see what happens.

Climbing sucks too, I'm so unfit after the surgery. More worrying in some ways, I'm lacking motivation too. Today I went to Odyssey and it was soaking wet with condensation. I made a quick decision to bail and leave Justin and Tom to it... Yesterday's climbing with the locals didn't happen either. 3 is never the best really.

I did a couple of hours work instead before heading to Pothia for a walk around the harbour and the town for an hour or two in the wonderful warm spring sunshine.

It was while walking that I began to understand and accept that yes, I am feeling rubbish, a general total crapness. I began to realise why I'm feeling like this and understand that however shit it all feels, things will improve soon. Soldier on, keep smiling.

I bought an overnight ferry ticket to go and see the surgeon in Athens again, then onward to Scotland. I need to get away for a while and regroup.

A corner of Pothia harbour few bother to see. Boats are left to rot here, bills unpaid, laws broken.
The town beach, pre season. I like coming here for a swim when the winds from the north, when Masouri and the west side beaches are too rough, then its calm here, usually flat and great for swimming. I'm sure they'll clean it up soon...
Another in the sunken boat collection.
Climbing makes me smile :)
